Midwest U2 fans throw Vertigo party

The U2 Midwest community (U2midwest.com) is throwing a party in honour of U2′s four night stand in Chicago this coming May. The site will be Chicago’s Hard Rock Cafe, located at 63W Ontario (Clark and Ontario) right in the heart of Chicago, from 8pm on Sunday, May 8th 2005. Entry is free.

The space is limited to 150 people so the organisers are taking advance RSVP’s.


From the organisers mail shot: “A raffle will be held offering numerous U2 themed prizes, grand prize will be a brand new U2 iPod! Tickets are $1 a piece and will be sold in the GA line of the first Chicago show as well as the party itself. Tickets can be purchased online thru paypal or money order, please note, due to fees assessed by Paypal.com, online purchases are required to purchase a minimum of 10 tickets at $10. Winner need not be present to win. Email u2midwestraffle@gmail.com for more info. Entertainment is going to be provided by you, in way of live band karoake, after all, who is better suited to sing U2 songs at a U2 party then you? Karaoke starts at 9pm.”
