On set report of U2’s video shoot in Vancouver

Steven Rockarts reports from U2’s videoshoot for their City of Blinding Lights video from inside the Arena in Vancouver:

“During some of the breaks Bono did the hokey pokey with the crowd. He also did a mock pop idol where he went to each band member and asked them questions. He went up to Edge and asked him if his mother knew he was here and if he was nervous. Edge replied to both questions with a quiet/kid like “yes sir”. Then Bono said Edge looked very cute in a beard.”

  1. May I suggest again that they hide this fun stuff (‘shooting the video in Vancouver’) as an easter egg on the DVD single? Thanks in advance!

  3. one more thing: is it true Bono said he ‘hates club shows?’ There goes my final hope on seeing U2 in Paradiso in Amsterdam one day…….. Oh well, I keep dreaming.

  5. Yeah he said “this is like a club show…I hate club shows, but I am having fun here.” Take it with a grain of slat though, Bono was probably just having fun with us.
