Hands up
18 Jun ’05, 2.10pm PST: Bono during the opening song, Vertigo, at Twickenham stadium.
Doves have flown the coop
Judging from this picture of support band the Doves that’s just come in by mobile phone, our ~E has got a prime spot along the barrier again.
By the way, tonight’s concert at Twickenham in London will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 2. Unfortunately ‘due to rights reasons’ it will not be streamed on the internet. Bummer. But if you can get Radio 2, tune in between 9-10.30 pm. Satellite dish owners (ASTRA 28,2 degree east) should also be able to receive the station.
Twickenham punters receive wristbands
Our troops on the ground report punters at Twickenham have been given wristbands by ticket number.
We believe this is the wrist of our long lost founding-editor-on-walkabout, Hoppy…
… who called in a bit later to say the band are currently soundchecking and have gone through All I want is you, City of Blinding Lights, Miracle Drug and Wild Horses.
Twickers gearing up for U2
The early birds at Twickenham stadium. To those still lost and confused: the queue for all entry gates is at gate H. Wristbands apparently will be provided at 9 to those in the queue already. Sun is blazing, so it’s looking like a very promising day…
