The Thrills to support U2
The Thrills have announced that they will be opening for U2 for the first month of the third leg of the Vertigo Tour. According to oneloudernyc.com, the young Irish band announced their U2 support commitments on their official web site, but later removed the information. (No thumbs up to spill the beans, apparently.) Among the dates that were posted are the four shows in Toronto.

Ugh. Saw them in Dublin, and it’s the first time ever at a U2 show I just stood there wishing the opening act was off the stage. Now I get four nights in Toronto? WHOO HOO.

Most of the European shows had more than one opening act. They might continue the trend on the third leg.
