Interesting that U2 doesn’t have a song (or even a cover of one of their songs)on the Soundtrack.

The less they can get near of this mess, the best. The movie is nothing but a very good way of get money using U2´s image, name and a “friendship” between one of the film´s actor and Bono.
It´s worthless to watch it in the cinema, believe me.
See you around.
Greetings from Mexico.

I worked on the 7 dias as an assisting editor, and you (Spy Plane) have no idea what you are talking about. The movie was shot and finished in January 2004. It spent one year in editing and sound, and was due out in april 2005 without U2 participation. It was by a “miracle” that Bono could not land in Cabo San Lucas in March 2005 and ended up in Acapulco. He had no prior friendship with the actor you talk about. They met through a mutual model friend (Naomi) of them who happened to be in Acapulco that same weekend. There he joined Naomi in the actors house and saw the movie, and he liked the story.
U2 is for this movie what being champion meant for Rocky, or playing in Notre Dame meant for Rudy. This is a stroy of a dreamer, who fights for an ideal.
Watch the movie first, and then make your opinions instead of passing value judgement on something you have no clue of.
Greetings from Mexico too…..

The reason there is no U2 song in the soundtrack is because it had been mixed and finished by the time final authorization came from the band.
Soundtrack was made through Warner, not Universal.
Final authorization came in late august.
There was no time to re-open the soundtrack, negotiate licenses between record labels, and include Miracle Drug, and make it in time for the release date of september 30.
I hope this helps sort doubts away.
I was involved in cuttting this story, it is very, very, good, this is not a U2 movie, this is the story of a guy who sees in U2 the ultimate dream of bringing the world´s best rock band to Mexico.
Take care!

Spy plane… You are sour and I don’t know why.Why are you trying to convince people to not watch the movie? That’s very bad… Why did you went to the premiere then? And now becuase you didn’t like it you want us to do so? No man, you’re sour, in a great deal. All people reading this watch the movie, if you want, and judge.
