Lunch with Bono
Bono’s design for the Lunchbox Auction to benefit the Food Bank for New York City and the Lunchbox Fund will become available for bidding tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 28) at 6 p.m. PST on the auction site hosted at eBay.
Bono’s design seems to say that the singer feels what’s on the inside is more important than what’s on the outside.

- Like a Song: Gone February 8, 2012[Ed. note: This is the 64th in a series of personal essays by the @U2 staff about songs and/or albums that have had great meaning or impact in our lives.] I like the Pop album. There, I said it. I know I’m in the minority, but I think it’s a solid record that has been underrated ever since its release 15 years ago. It’s not a perfect album, […]
- Predict The Running Order February 8, 2012We know what tracks will appear on U22... but we don't yet know the order. Got any ideas? […]

In a Pyschology Today blog post titled Authentic Love, Kierkegaard and U2, the concept of losing love to find romance is explored. In the song “A Man and a Woman” from the album How to [...]This is a post from the @U2 blog. The Etern […]

Wow, Bono spent like 5 minutes “designing” his lunchbox for that worthwhile cause. Way to go Bono!

I think Bono’s design illustrates how unique he is.
What should it look like? Should it be covered with diamonds or something? What indicates effort?

I love this design, because it is in the manner he put his signature on the cd’s and all the other things that we stick under his nose.
(So some of us may have a similar drawing at home)

It’s red to promote the RED campaign.
It’s red to promote the RED campaign.
but it looks just like the lunchbox he designed last year!
(joke). i have not heard anything more about red aside from the one brief mention of the campaign bono made in the interview with noreena hertz. i’m interested to see how/when that develops. oh, and this lunchbox is rad.

So this is for the Red campaign, a little something more than a red box might fetch some more dollars for the food bank…ya know what I mean? And the other note, my guess is that he could have bought this at Walmart, called it his design, and as above , people would love it, cause it’s Bono. I’m a long time U2 fan, but it’s OK to be critical once and a while people. Could have been a lot better.

yes criticism is allowed, but criticizing something the man did for charity is a bit ridiculous. sorry. and if you are implying this isn’t going to fetch mega dollars with a hand-drawn sketch and handwritten note inside, you are c-r-a-z-y.

this lunch box is awesome. they should put the stolen (and recently found) October lyric sheets in there. then they should use it to throw through the windshield of the next fan who says “i wish U2 would not be a greatest hits band and play some old forgotten songson tour” and then 3 months later says “why do they play such obscure songs…miss sarajevo really slowed down the momentum of their show…”
on a sidenote, it’s funny that in other bands many fans get jealous when their bands grows up and is loved by all, whereas part of being a u2 fan (or many of us) is the shared meglamonia of wanting our band to be the biggest and best.

Hey, at least you can’t impale yourself on this one.

‘Miss Sarajevo’ was hardly obscure as it was a top 10 single in most of Europe!

buono, Bono.

umm, the comment i made of Miss Sarajevo being an obscure song was like done with sarcasm (note the fact that i wanted to throw a lunch box through the windows of people who said such things)
