Bono and his friends at One.org distributed an email today, reminding us that he will be interviewed by NBC anchor Brian Williams on tonight’s NBC Nightly News.
Post-Broadcast Note: In the interview, Bono revealed that he has written 8 songs while traveling in Africa! Video of the interview is available at msnbc.com.
I took it as he will work on eight songs with the band when he gets to Dublin and he had just written one in Africa. There’s no way he could have had time to write eight songs in ten days while traveling in Africa. I mean, come on! If he were *that* fast, we wouldn’t have to wait so long for new albums.
Anyway, Bono really is funny. “Rock star! Limousine?” And “I don’t know where this sh*t comes from, but it just keeps coming!” (about writing songs).
😉 funny… daniel lanois might have a song called “thank you” on his next record. the lyric that bono excerpted is very much in the same vein… i’m sure danny played the tune to the b-man on one occasion…;)

Well, that’s convenient, since intel has come our way that U2 (remember, that band Bono’s in?) will be gathering in France on Bono’s return from Africa, to actually go and ‘jam’ together.
u2 playing music? together?
yay for that intel !
Thank You is a song Daniel Lanois and Bono co-wrote a while back …
