Doesn’t this deserve scrutiny given Bono’s campaigning? In any business, what you get to keep is just as important as what you get to make.
At least (5) members vote on what business decisions U2 makes- though I’m guessing Bono voted ‘Yes’!
Besides, only a few people really know just what Bono does with his money, so if it turns out that he puts what he saves in tax where his mouth is, then doesn’t he skirt a bit away from the “hypocrite” label?

I’m tired of people blaming Bono for this and acting like he is being stingy. It’s not like he alone controls what happens with U2′s money. I think it’s silly to expect such a large organization to pay extra tax just to make themselves look good when they could legally opt out, which they did. Anyone in the same situation would have done the same thing.
