Sanjaya vs Bono

Time magazine have listed 200 candidates for their ‘Most Influential People of the Year’ award and you, the slightly less influential masses, have been voting for your favourites. So far, so good. To our great distress, we see that Idol reject/teen sensation Sanjaya Malakar (at #6) is beating Bono (#9) by more than 100,000 votes. This simply won’t do. So if y’all could just go over to Bono’s profile, drag the slide all the way to the right until it says ’100′ and click submit, please? Looks like voting’s been stopped.

    Hrmm, there’s no slider to vote with when I open the page. Is it only available to Northern Hemisphere folk? Down here (actually, it’s _up_ here, you guys are the ones upside down), no one has heard of this Rain. So don’t let someone no one has heard of win this very pointless but highly addictive poll!

    Forget Sanjaya. I want to know why Dane Cook is even on the list, let alone why he’s near the top! Perhaps I missed whatever influential thing he did last year…

    I would say that calling this a list of “influential” people is incorrect. “Popularity Contest” would be more accurate.
