  1. funny what a language does to a voice. watched it live on TV yesterday, what a great, moving moment, seeing those two great artists together singing this this precious song. I also loved grönemeyer’ pleas to “frau merkel”. brilliant.

  5. It looks like Bono is about to burst out laughing at himself singing in German. I guess that walking-with-a-stone-in-his-shoe look he has on his face is concentration, remembering how to pronounce the lyrics.

    Is it a coincidence U2 are with Eno and Lanois “experimenting and liberating”, and Bono is in Germany? When was the last time we had those two words and Germany at the same time? 😉
