  3. I agree Callum. You know what pisses me off most about that speech. McGuinnes says our money or our music. It is not his music. He does not write one lyric or one note. If anything he profits of the back of U2

  5. This is not going to diminish the widely held view that U2 are greedy corporate whores. Even if it’s their manager who is.

  7. i’d be curious to hear what the band, especially Edge thinks of this. It sounds like McGuinness advocates the control of the flow of not just music, but information. If ISPs can determine what it is I can download, the coporatization and commodification of information results in a conglomeration of power– the few having power over the many. i’ve never disagreed with the band’s stance on anything as passionately as this.
