- Like a Song: Gone February 8, 2012[Ed. note: This is the 64th in a series of personal essays by the @U2 staff about songs and/or albums that have had great meaning or impact in our lives.] I like the Pop album. There, I said it. I know I’m in the minority, but I think it’s a solid record that has been underrated ever since its release 15 years ago. It’s not a perfect album, […]

If ever I need a reminder of why I’m a U2 fan, all I need to do is cue-up a live version of “Streets” from one of the many bootlegs I’ve now transferred to my iPod.
The fan who created that video did a great job with the editing … very cool to here one consistent version of the song intermixed with various timelines of the band.

Well done. Still gives me chills even though it’s quite over-played on tour.

Very well put together – congratulations! For me ‘Streets’ can never be overplayed; you get your money’s worth live for that track alone, and the rest is free. I reckon -so here’s a true/false quiz question- they’ve never done a full gig since ‘The Joshua Tree’ without it.

nope, they did not play it on several shows on the Joshua Tree Tour, nor did they play it in Sydney on November 18th, 1989…since then, I think they played it at every show. And rightly so!
This fan-made video is great! Better edited than a lot of the released stuff. Congrats to whomever! Great work. If I were U2 I’d offer you a job.
