U2 360 Milan July 8, 2009
And we’re back for the second night in Milan’s San Siro stadium. In the afternoon, the band rehearsed Moment Of Surrender, Ultraviolet and Beautiful Day. No rain on this night and the atmosphere inside the stadium was wicked. During the show, Bono criticised Italian PM Sergio Berlusconi for breaking promises concerning debt relief. At the end of the show, after Moment of Surrender, as the crowd left the stadium, “Nessun Dorma” was played over the PA.

“Stuck in a moment (accoustic version, Edge only)”
NICE! I hope that means Edge only on vocals as well.

Saw the show last night in Milan. It was absolutely wonderful. Bono’s voice was really great. The band played every song spot on. The only song not quite there for me is Electrical Storm. Bono’s voice was beautiful he hit all the high notes – but the guitar is not quite there. Maybe I am expecting too much but, hey they are U2! The absolute show stealer was I’ll Go Crazy. That song remixed is much much better. I LOVED IT, LOVED IT AND LOVED IT!!!! The show needed that kind of pick up at that moment. It is a spectacular addition. I did not listen to it or watch it on any internet recording so I went in with an open mind. For me it made the show a great success. A lot of the songs on this tour are not exactly rockers. I love them all but I agree with the additon of the re-mix. It is ten times better than the CD version. Overall it was a Great Show! My husband and I really enjoyed it. We were seated so it was a great view of the light show. I must admit I like standing better in the ellipse. The connection to the band makes the show more emotional. My only wish and request now is to open with Fez and close with Magnificent. Closing with Moments of Surrender is so heavy…I love the song it is so haunting and beautiful but to close with it is really heavy… Enjoy the show everyone! I can’t wait to see it in Chicago, LA and Las Vegas…..I only wish I could see everyone of them.
