U2360 – Stadio Olimpico – Turin, Italy
First night! The U2360 2010 tour kicks off in Turin, Italy. According to security, support act Kasabian will be on stage 7:30pm and U2 at 9pm CET. Due to circumstances beyond our control (um… going for sushi. Food > U2.) I’ll be away from the computer for most of the show, but no doubt will start filling in the details here shortly after.
Atu2.com has a handy list of people likely to tweet live setlist updates. Keep an eye on pictures posted to twitter via this twicsy link.
U2.com is carrying a feed to fan tweets on their tour page. (You’ll have to scroll down the page to see them. Or open the feed in a new window.) To be included, add the hashtag #u2360turin to your tweets.
Comment from friend in the stadium: “Voice and back seem OK. And all four of them seem to be enjoying themselves.”
Cheesy goodness: U2 brings the pizza

Fans outside the Olimpico stadium in Turin got the surprise of a lifetime when all of U2 came out to greet them after Thursday night’s rehearsal bearing gifts: pizza for all!
Not so Soon – reports on today’s rehearsals
Two days to go and the boys are still ‘experimenting’ with their setlist during rehearsals in Italy. It looks like the ‘Soon’ part of the intro to the show has been dropped in favour of a new, less ambient track. Fortunately, they’ve hung on to Bowie’s Space Oddity.
On Wednesday after a short rehearsal in the early evening during which they played In A Little While, Miss Sarajevo, Until The End Of The World, Magnificent and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, from 9pm the band played what looks like a full set. The big shocker is that some of the NLOTH songs have been dropped in favour of the new song(s) as well as some oldies. No Breathe, no No Line on the Horizon, and no Unknown Caller. I do hope they’ll bring some of them back and start rotating older and newer material.
Can’t wait any longer
Another day of rehearsals and things seem to intensify. Reports of today’s proceedings already noted the performance of another new song, this one supposed to be ‘lenta’ (slow).
4 Days Countdown to U2 360 2010
Day six in the Big Brother house… um… sorry, wrong show. It’s The Edge! And a split second of Larry.
Ready to hear some new U2?
Last night during rehearsals in Turin rumors of the past few days seem to have found some actual ground. Fans camping outside the gate captured the sound of a new U2 song being rehearsed.
