All that you can obviously state

“I have this idea in my head, just to write as if you’re dead–because when you’re dead, you know, you don’t care what people think and just go and say what you have to say.” – Bono, MTV

Just trying to make sense of U2’s new album title ‘All that you can’t leave behind’. We usually talk about the things you can’t take with you, when you go. When you die. You can’t take it with you, but you don’t want to leave it behind either. The things that matter. Your partner, your kids, your parents, your friends. Which is what supposedly the songs on the album are about. See? It all makes sense.
