A PENNY FOR YOUR EDGE
Reader Andy Pope shares with us the following story: I saw Edge in Spar (convenience store) in Ballsbridge in Dublin. He was buying a newspaper and when he went to pay, it seemed he had no money, and paid for it with a handful of pennies. If I wasn’t so in awe I would have offered to lend him a pound.

Which reminds us of watching the beanie-wearing-one write out a cheque to pay for a beer in The Dockers in Dublin.
