…THEN THE HUGE PERSIAN RUG DESCENDS FROM THE CEILING…
[Via Youtwo.net] Jonas Akerlund has spoken about working on the design concepts for U2’s next tour: “I find that all live entertainment today is pretty boring. Even if you have a band that can play hits for two hours, it’s only great when the band enters the stage and for the first fifteen minutes. After that, everybody starts to wait for the extra songs… I want to build it up in a smart way, so that there are visual surprises that makes it interesting the whole time.” (Forty-foot mirrorball suitcase, anyone?)
How do you think this might be achieved, especially if it means building the songs up as well? Head to the forum and tell us.
