GENERAL ADMISSION/PRICES: DON’T ASK, DON’T TELL?
Crowdsafe.com reports that DJs lined up to interview Bono were told not to ask him about ticket prices or concert seating arrangements, or risk having their interview vetoed. “Kink-FM and other US radio stations were told by agents representing U2, that if questions about festival seating and ticket prices for the upcoming Elevation tour are raised, the interview will be cancelled, Mr. Sarnoff told his radio listeners.”
The web site, run by Crowd Management Strategies, the consultancy which raised the early press on U2’s general admission issue, has followed the debate closely. The piece about DJs being gagged (third item down) raises some interesting points. The interview was going to be on January 19. Did anyone hear it?
