U2 CAN BE WINNERS
Hot off the press, the NME have annouced the winners of their ‘Carling’ awards (fancy a beer?) or ‘The Brats’. U2 were chosen ‘Best Rock Act’ and ‘God Like Genius’ from an amazingly Corrs-free line up.

Earlier the band scooped up an award at the Italian Music Awards, reader Analisa reports: I want to let you know that on Feb. 5th night U2 won the prize as “Best international group” at the first edition of the Italian Music Awards. They beated Blink 182, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers. Bono was not in Italy, but he took the prize in Dublin and said wonderful words about Italy and Italian fans, such as: “You are my people and I’m your Bono”… he had also a flu and his voice was sooooo sexy! Um… quite.
