U2 make CNN’s Songs of the Century… ‘Over the Rainbow’ tops the chart and a whopping 120 steps down the ladder, right between Van Halen’s ‘Jump’ (eep) and USA for Africa’s ‘We Are the World’ (ahem) we ‘Still haven’t found what I’m looking for’.

U2.com announce the introduction of a low bandwidth site: “Following comments from many of you since our launch, we will shortly be introducing a ‘lite’ version of U2.COM which will load far faster than the current version. This will give fans a much quicker, more immediate experience of the site – and reduce annoying waiting times.” Hallelujah, here she comes.
