U2log has been informed Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating will be supporting U2 in Houston and Dallas. PJ Harvey is still not well enough to perform.

Keating is said to be delighted at the opportunity: “I’m ready to break into the American market. The Corrs proved that the American rock audience is ready for light entertainment. U2 are an inspiration to me and all the young people of Ireland. It will be the sweetest thing to open for the lads.”

The popstar, sometimes dubbed ‘the Irish Cliff Richard’, will appear tomorrow, April 2 in Houston, Texas and April 3, in Dallas. PJ Harvey is expected back on the tour on April 6 in Denver, Colorado and has also been confirmed as support act at U2’s London’s Earl’s Court Show on August 19.

We’re just kidding!
