In order to “accomodate the size of U2’s screens” (or would that be the lure of an extra 45000 tickets to sell?), the Dutch concerts which would originally take place in Utrecht have been moved to the Gelredome football stadium (cap 32.000) in Arnhem. Dutch promotor Mojo announced this today. The dates stay the same, but an extra 15000 tickets per concert will become available effectively doubling the size of the audiences. Tickets go on sale May 12.

So… our ‘intimate arena gig’ becomes a (small) stadium gig after all. Can we just say this is seriously disappointing?
