A ROLLING STONE GATHERS NO POP

Via youtwo.net. Recently, Rolling Stone were kind enough to share with us a revealing (and revolting) run-down of twenty lousy albums made by talented artists who definitely should have known better (Insert lame Richard Marx joke here).

U2, Pop
…1997’s Pop found everyone’s favorite strident Irishmen grasping desperately for relevance amid the electronica onslaught. With the help of techno-meister Howie B, U2 slathered on the keyboards and the sequencers, but forgot to include enough tunes to fill out the various beeps, bleeps and loops. Small wonder, then, that 2000’s mediocre All That You Can’t Leave Behind was showered with such hearty accolades upon its arrival — Bono and the boys could apparently still write songs!
