Bono’s father died last night after a lengthy battle with cancer.
“I can confirm that Bono’s father has died. We don’t have any more details at this stage,” a spokeswoman for PM stated.
Bono had been flying back to Dublin every night after gigs via their private jet to be with his dying father.
Bob Hewson, a retired postal worker who was in his late 70s, had been ill with cancer for some time.
