  1. Tanya Headon says “Music should not document tragedy – for it is a tragedy in its own right. And U2 make a lot of money out of that tragedy as well.”
Well it looks to me like she is trying to draw traffic to her site by documenting a tradegy, which can be profitable. Although I can see why she gets annoyed with music, when a violin seems to sound like a penny whistle. Why link to a rant of this kind? “Powered by Blogger” perhaps?

  3. Link to Tanya because it’s Blogger powered? That’s an absurd notion. We link to Tanya cause we really like the site – because it’s well written and it’s funny. Only someone who really loves music can write about hating it that well.

  5. It’s sad you all think there’s a conspiracy behind these great songs. Would you rather Bono had got pissed off and joined in the fighting? Set some bombs off maybe. Or instead, he could write a great song about how pointless the fighting is. You seem to think they enjoy singing these songs…”How long…how long must we sing this song” does NOT mean there’s a big conspiracy behind this song, shhhh. It means we don’t want to sing this song, because we want the violence to stop. Strange child…
