  1. My question to the “revolutionary” facet of the left is “What is your plan”?
Listen, I’m not the biggest fan of the late stage of capitalism that our world finds itself in, but I haven’t yet heard a response from the ultra-left that contains a better plan. Perhaps I have just grown too cynical, but I don’t believe revolution in the true sense of the word is possible, nor necessarily even beneficial.
To be honest, I feel working within the system and trying to change it from the inside is a better option than throwing rocks and rhetoric at it. For this reason, I support much of the
work the NGO’s are doing..and will continue to until I’ve been given actual proof that the
“revolution” being proposed will accomplish my desire of a fairer world more sucessfully.
Bono and Jubilee may not be entirely successful, but the way I see it atleast Something positive is happening……

  3. I’m very far-removed from being a raging right-winger, but even with removing all mention of Bono and Drop the Debt, that IndyMedia piece is still the biggest load of dross I’ve ever seen. I dislike knee-jerk “revolutionaries” as much as knee-jerk conservatives. I’ve never seen so many big words saying so little…
