Pulp Friction

The new Pulp video for their single “Bad Cover Version” is a remake of the 1984 “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” video, featuring celebrity impersonators of today’s finest popstars. That alone would be enough to recommend it, but the icing on the cake is the appearance of one terrible, terrible Bono imitator. Watch and chortle, with much thanks to the NME.

  1. Terrible terrible immitator?!??! I thought it was fantastic. EXACTLY the same as Bono’s appearance in that Kirk Franklin video.

  3. I thought it was hilarious, especially george michael and kylie (am listening to new kylie right to review for my college paper… spare me please). Sat. Night Live once did a band-aid parody that explained the Whitewater scandal about 5 years ago featuring axl rose and meatloaf. It was great.

  5. Shane McGowan’s in it?!? I know David Bowie’s supposed to be, and the guy sounded uncannily like him… Bjork’s my fave. Or Meat Loaf.

  7. That guy who was doing Elton John was a dead-Ringer. I thought the Brian May look alike was cool as well. The video is hilarious and the bonoj impersonator was really good.

  9. Isn’t Jarvis Cocker the guy who mooned the crowd for some reason at an awards show a few years back??? I remember reading an interveiw with The Cure (check them out U2 fans), and they thought he was a quote “wanker”… I did like this video, very funny, good impressions all around I thought…
