U2 in Portugal

U2portugal.com reports: Portuguese newspaper “A BOLA” has “confirmed” that U2 will play in Portugal in late August. The venue will be “Alvalade” Stadium in Lisbon. The venue will be demolished after the concert, to make way for a new stadium. Demolition procedures were postponed to allow for the U2 concert.

The date of the concert will be the 24th of August.

Hey, I’m sorry, I just get pissed when seeing Europe gets tour dates just because “U2 didnt have a good tour in Europe” that line really irritates me because thousands of other fans spread through the world surely won’t get to see them. In Europe the transportation through countries is far more accesible than southamerica for example, allowing those fans to see them even with a low budget.
    I’m sorry if I bug you, but it’s just that I’ve always wanted to get to a U2 show, and it hasn’t been possible, and this are not words exclusively from me.

  5. Don’t forget that a European tour means that they are still ‘at home’ and do not have the rigour of being away on tour for long stretches of time. They can be at home for most of the week if they want.

    Not an excuse, but I would imagine an element that came into their decision.
