If you can believe it, a woman named Chris Ford had never heard U2 before this year. Boy, she has now. Read her reflections on falling in love with our favorite band. (thanks to Rosa)
Still, more years later, I am surfing the TV when I come across VH1 where they announce that the Boston concert of U2’s ‘Elevation’ tour is about to start in 15 minutes. I call my brother and tell him his group is going to be on. I decide to watch out of curiosity. Two hours later I am completely blown away. I think,
I think Chris is female. Check out the second to last sentence.

Very interesting. I discover U2 during 1997 with a single called Discotheque then everything followed like the author said about buying all of their CDs. And I was also buying anyting that said U2 on them

My obsession started when I was 13. That was in 1987 when JT was released. I onlu bought the album because it had “With or Without You”, a song that reminded me of this girl I had a crush on. Boy, am I ever glad I bought that album. My obsession with U2 lasted much longer than my infatuation for her. LOL

I started liking U2 back in 1981, the first year MTV was on the air. I sort of lost track of them in the 90s, but just bought ATYCLB and it is GREAT. I wish they’d be more vocal about their faith, though.
