Gettin’ slippy with it

Slippy Online is a new ‘online sports and music magazine’, and it isn’t like
any you’ve read before in terms of serious journalism, says editor Matt Decoste. Their second issue opens with a U2 ‘Band of the Year’ article in which the author states: ‘I like U2, I love U2, I would pleasure myself with sandpaper if the band asked me to.’ In the course of the article, the writer repeatedly threatens non-believers with all manner of bodily harm and comes out with a Dave Matthews related 15-inch black rubber cock story. We kid you not. Um… recommended.

  3. This guy is a true diehard fan, and I thought his article was very good. I totally agree about his views of DMB, Creed and everything else. Although I like DMB first two albums, but if you compare to their crowd to the U2 crowd there are lot of difference. And POP was a good album(not great, but good)

  5. Oh the difference is that U2 crowd are very diverse(young and old while the DMB crowds are mostly college kids.

  7. Comparing any band with U2 is like comparing Apples an Oranges except the other bands are rotten. That was one of the best U2 articles I have read in awhile. The writer captures what its like to be a die hard U2 fan.
