No Oaso?

Several sources, most notably U2news.de report that Oasis will NOT be touring with U2 this summer. We’re ever so disappointed.

  1. What a shame. But if this pops up being true, there might be a slight chance that U2 would decide not to tour Europe and tour the rest of the world, that’d rock =)

  3. Thank God, Oasis is such a horrible band. If they want to play with a good band. Why dont they give Radiohead a call or even REM.

  5. WOOOOOOO HOOOOOO! The best news i’ve heard this year… now all we need is a decent support band… come on U2, you can do it! And if you bring bloody Ash back again they’ll be hell to pay!

  7. Totally guessing from my part, but I reckon U2 and Oasis are still on for Amsterdam, Oasis being support act (of course). It’s in U2’s style to have alternating support acts in Europe. The other rumoured support act is {{shudder}} Kane. Oasis or Kane? Which ye prefer 😉

  9. No on Oasis and U2? Too bad. Mebbe the boys can drag Bono back to the studio and finish/start recording. Ah well.

Why is it that Oasis is a “love ’em or hate ’em” issue? And why do the haters always voice their opinion as if it was a fundamental truth?

  11. i agree with deck325 wwhy is it that the haters are automatically correct. Oasis are a truly great band(as are U2) so it’s really everyones loss that the tour won’t go ahead but hopefully U2 can take the time to work on their next record. That would be a result.

  13. Oasis and U2 are two of my favourite bands and my dad said maybe he’ll take me…I’ve never been to a concert before so I hope it is still going ahead, If not this year then the year after.
