“We were celebrating right in the seats. We had our Evian water bottles, but they were all vodka. Yeah, that’s the modern trickery. Everybody walks around with a bottle of water these days so you can walk through even the most strong-armed guards if you’ve got a water bottle. But we had our vodka in there.”
Finally, Daniel Lanois gives a coherent excuse for Bono’s Grammy Awards speech(es). And for the unforgivable sin of interrupting The Edge… think of the wisdom he could’ve imparted when that drunk… (Thanks to Youtwo.net)
I really hope no one is still in shock about this. They’re IRISH. Besides, I like giddy U2 better than serious U2.

This is sort of non-U2 related, but VERY rock music related, and I certainly don’t mean to rain on anybody’s funny article, but if your tastes in music are U2 and heavier, today was a very sad day, as it is being reported that Layne Stayley’s (lead singer of Alice in Chains, a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT American rock group)body has been found in his home… I don’t know for sure if this is true or not but it looks like it will be confirmed, but if you like ANY of today’s harder music (or don’t even) do yourself a favor and go get an AIC album… If you love U2 (as do I), you obviously love Rock n’ Roll, so catch one of America’s greatest contributions to the art form, the late great Alice In Chains…

Ironic that that was posted in the “Party Hard” thread. Layne Staley’s death is quite tragic, but PLEASE keep comments here on-topic — if you’d like to discuss Staley’s death, you could try this Alice In Chains message board we found via Google: http://www.wiredanime.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi — or you could track one down on your own — I did see a thread about it over at MTV.com…

OH NO…I don’t think Lanois is going to be allowed to corroberate on the next u2 album if he’s giving their secrets away! At least he’s not a codependent :o).

So were they drunk or simply allergic to vodka?
