MTV News made some intriguing statements about THE BEST OF 1991-2000 yesterday:
- It will contain tracks from ALL THAT YOU CAN’T LEAVE BEHIND
- It will contain “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me,” “Miss Sarajevo” (!), and “Everlasting Love” (!!!) from the FORCES OF NATURE soundtrack. We’d like to point out that this was recorded as a b-side in 1990 and should be ineligible, but that would be quibbling.
- According to an Interscope spokesperson, it may not be a two-disc set after all, since the band “didn’t amass as much material” in this period.

Uncork that bottle of bubbly. It seems that Bono’s testimonial for fellow musician Peter Buck has had its intended effect. BBC Liquid News’ mailing list reports Buck has been cleared of all charges against him. He had been accused of being drunk on board, assaulting cabin staff and damaging BA property. More at BBC News.
