Bono was interviewed today on RTE Radio 1’s “Today with Vincent Browne“, discussing ‘Miss Sarajevo’ and his experiences with Luciano Pavarotti, Bono’s childhood ‘railway carriage’ holidays in Rush and, his trip to Africa, religion, poetry and fame. (1.30 hrs, mp3, 10mb, link via Cindy)

Nice. Ah, the Irish can waffle on given half the chance can’t they! Interesting that when talking about current recording, Bono hints that the single won’t be Hands That Built America,.. which was nice.

This isn’t Bono! I think the link is out of date, does anyone know where there’s a full transcript or (even better) mp3s?

I’ve updated the link, it’s now a 10mb mp3.

As much as Bono and others would have us to believe, it doesn’t take an act of GOD to create a new (good) song. If it did, we wouldn’t have the Backstreet Boys, Kylie Menogue, Eminem, The Beatles and a host of other people who need songs for the market right away and don’t pray about it first (as far as I know).

Oh, and one more thing. I’m glad that Bono had and does have a great life (if one overlooks the TREMENDOUS lack of privacy). However, I’m not making ANY demands of him to not be boring. HE IS BORING AND SO IS THE REST OF HUMANITY. He has decided to pick a job where he could WORK on NOT being boring (thus the lifestyle of a rockstar/artist is allowed to be extravegant). That doesn’t mean he has or will succeed at NOT BEING BORING every time. Especially when you take into account the variety of human interests.
