A reader in Ireland reports they received a new issue (issue 33) of U2’s official magazine, “Propaganda” today.
atU2.com has more information. Apparently there is no mention of the magazine discontinuing.

I’m not crazy, right? Weren’t they discontinuing Propaganda in favor or the official web site? Or is this just the last issue. ….. I’m crazy, huh. =)

Why would they discontinue the magazine/fan club? I don’t see why they would. Other Bands (DMB for example) have both. U2.om visitors don’t have the exclusive benefit of recieving promo CDs or advance ticket sales. In other words, the two are different things.

It was suggested they would discontinue the magazine since they weren’t taking any new subscribers.

i got mine today too. no mention that it’s the last issue. it even says that i have paid for the next issue.

Does anybody know when it will hit the states? I joined a long while ago and have only received two issues. I would very much like to have this issue. I’ve been waiting, just like the rest of you, for a while for this. I hope it’s not the last issue. I don’t see the point in stopping something like propaganda!

**SPOILER** well there wasn’t anything too exciting in it. just lotsa stuff i’ve already read on the internet such as bono’s harvard address. some interviews with people in the u2 crew and reviews of different gigs on the elevation tour. it all seems a little out of date…

Is this a double issue? I ask because my main subscription had #32 as the last, which I thought would be this one that is coming, don’t think the last so many moons ago was 32 nor did I get a renewal form with that one.

Propaganda is ALWAYS out of date.The interviews are never really anything that we haven’t already read in the press, and I prefer fan produced mags – at least they’re up to date!
