“U2 Live: a Concert Documentary” to be updated

2003 will see an update of Pimm Jal de la Parra’s book “U2 Live: A Concert Documentary”, says Chris Charlesworth of Omnibus Press in an interview with Hot Press Magazine.

“It was very sad,” says Charlesworth, “I had met Pimm twice to talk about the update, before I got the email announcing his death. He died on April 9th of this year. I know that the band were really taken with the detail of the work that he had done, and so some of his friends in Amsterdam are going to continue with the project.”

U2log.com would like to confirm that our editor in chief, Caroline van Oosten de Boer and Jeroen van Meggelen will be working on the update in collaboration with Omnibus Press. Both are long time friends of Pimm’s.

  1. It is great news about the concert documentary update. I think the book continues to be my favorite U2 resource. It’s amazing how much detailed information is in there. Can’t wait to read the Pop
Mart and Elevation descriptions! Nice Job!

  3. This has been the best U2 resource since the band’s inception. An update is much needed & I’m very much looking forward to it.

  7. Fantastic initiative! What better way to honour the great work of pimm jal? May his legacy live on forever!! (By the way, now I finally understand what vonb stands for! This is the name that takes me back to my studentyears, when I read, re-read, and re-read again every magazine and article there was about U2. Best of all: Collectormania.) Lots of succes with the work on the update!!
