This version seriously kicks.. The Boom Cha’s were cheesy and make me think of the village people. Glad there gone!

Wow, they got me scared for te first few seconds, but then the songs really lifts off 🙂 Very cool, Mike tried to get rid of the heavy effects on the original version. Still, there’s a lot of effects in use but the sound is cleaner and more down to earth.

Wow! I guess this is Discotheque (Neutered Mix.) It’s bad enough that they’ve gone entirely soft and commercial with their new material, but must they do that with the old? How can a song called Discotheque be absent of all the electronic sounds that one would hear in an actual Discotheque? And hearing the guitar riff that was used in the live version during the chorus in place of what was there in the original recording is flat out depressing.

Um, the song isn’t about a Discotheque, per se. It’s about the whole club life style and those whom would believe in it. The sound on the recording is not very clear. Turn it up some and you will hear that much of the same stuff is still there. I think the new intro is actually more “dicotheque-ish”, if you will.

I never said the song is about a Discotheque. I said “How can a song called Discotheque be absent of all the electronic sounds that one would hear in an actual Discotheque?” Not the same. this discotheque mix sucks. the hexidecimal mix is what I call a mix of the song, this one is just a real bad version of the original song. it’s really sad that they spent the time with messing with songs from POP instead of making some remakes of actung baby classics.
