It’s the suspense that they are building now. . .not America. That is why you can’t hear it yet. By the way, this remix of ‘Lemon’ is the best.

STAY is my favourite U2 song. Well, that and a handful of others. Aaaaaahhhhh, dammit, they’re ALL my favourite songs! AAAAAAAA!!!!

if you have a copy of the u2 melon remixes for propaganda cd.you will notice some of the tracks will be on the b-sides best off 1990-2000 album.also b sides of singles of the pop album.which will included some remixes.not new tunes as some people think they are.

Stay is a great song… but it’s never better than the acoustic version on the Boston DVD.

I don’t really bother with the remixes but this Lemon one is OK.
I think the Discotheque re-work is good too. It’s a grower. I remember Edge saying soon after the release of Pop that he wished that song has been kinda less dense and more simple…..I guess this is what he meant.

John, I prefer the Zooropa live version of Stay, myself. I missed Edge’s harmonies in Boston.
On-topic, I’m not wild about this Lemon mix. Diff’rent strokes…

Personally, I am wondering why they chose the Lemon (Jeep Mix) over the Lemon (Perfecto Mix) for the b-side cd. The Perfecto Mix kicks ass!

The Perfecto of Lemon is pretty long, is it not? It was cool the way the used it during Popmart. They probably chose this remix because of time restraints on the CD

I have to admit that I’m something of a U2-newbie so I heard the Boston version first. Bono’s voice seems to have more passion and urgency in that version.

I love the original Lemon most – quite frankly I think the remix is shyte. Lemon is one of the most beautiful songs ever written………and it loses it sincerity in the remix.

Oh man! What happened to Lemon?! In my opinion, the remix feels empty, no heart, very cold. What was once a beautiful song has turned into a boring chant of lines with a somewhat catchy beat. Oh well, I guess I shouldn’t complain too much – I have the song off the album anyway so I can stick to that version. I just don’t fully understand the need for remixes. Guess it’s not my place . . .

Talking about remixes, I agree that this is not
the “best” Lemon remix (the Jeep Remix’s “All Right”
can be a bit annoying). I personnalu]y think the
Perfecto Mix is better, though you can’t beat the
Zooropa original version. Talking about Perfecto
Remix, I can’t believe they picked Mysterious Ways
Solar and Plexus Mix over the Perfecto Mix, which
I think is amazing. I wonder if Paul Oakenfold was
asking for a percentage of the sales $$ or
something … After all who owns the copyright of
the remix ? U2 or the remixer/DJ ?

Cyril: Usually a track is commissioned out by the artist for remixers/producers to make a new mix, and are usually paid just a flat fee and the original artist/record company retains the copyright/sales revenue of the remix. This may or may not be the case with U2, but it’s usually how things are done…and while we are on the topic of remixes (my favourite topic on U2 and any other group that likes to release remixes instead of true B-Sides)…WHERE ARE THE ORIGINAL B-SIDES!!!…stop remixing and release thrown away/half finished songs as B-Sides… I personally enjoy those WAY MORE!
