  3. Link worked for me… I am never that big on remixes, so you can probably guess my opinions on these… the soaring guitar in the Nasty Mix is kinda neat though.

  5. mmm most odd – what internet service provider are u using? Are u connecting in a public place like uni or a library that might have a firewall? Unfortunately the shade’s sysadmin might not be available to sort any problems till later today – the mor einfo u can provide the better tho.

  9. Normally the positive vibe seekest…Not today! These are not remixes, I only heard the Nasty mix and it was just that…Nasty. If you like “Club” music you are all set! If you want to remix a song that’s one thing to make into an instrumental version is another and not appreciated.
We had the comments the other day about taking out two members of the band, like The Who, and Bono is one member that can never be mixed out!
I also thought the pause/explosion at the 3/4 mark was tacky in relation to September 11, 2001.

So aside form Numb, yet to be heard, here is the order of quality remixes.
    1. Gone
    2. Even Better…
Hopefully Numb will be the third.

  13. I dunno… there was this remix of Beautiful Day awhile back… I think it was the Holmes Mix, and it was only available in Australia… I think anyway. That had no vocals and I think that it was great! It almost sounded like a garage band version of BD.

  15. indeed the David Holmes Mix of Beautiful Day was something…i stick it rite in between “where did it all go wrong” and “big girls are best”.
it was quite a surprise to hear a remix sound like this. only thing i can compare it too is the “first night in hell” mix…in that it’s so drastically different yet still manages to stand up in its own way.

  19. well…finally heard the nasty mix…personal opinion…sounds like something new order did in the 80s, that was…remixed by trent reznor in the early 90s…and then covered by some unknown indusTechno outfit for a soundtrack to Gran Turismo for Playstation 2
well now that’s a NASTY review, maybe i’ll be nice with my next one.
