We received our ordered copies of the Irish Rock Legends stamps. Click to enlarge. Interestingly, it looks like the designers of the stamps used U2’s current trademark Eurostile font for the names of all the bands on the stamps.

Just a little fact… Electricn Storm has just entered the Uk charts at number 5.. there seems to be a pattern here… BD enetered at 1, SIAM enetered at 2, Elevation at 3, and walk on at 4. Do you thank The Hands that Built America will eneter at 6? Only time will tell!

Yeah, I always dismissed Thin Lizzy as ‘ugh, heavy metal’, but every time I actually see them on TV, I’m impressed.

This might be a good time to point out the merits of “From a Whisper to a Scream” DVD which features all the blokes on the stamps (including our blokes)and lots of Thin Lizzy info and performance. I had really never heard of them, but was really blown away by Lynott as a person and a musician.
