U2 and friends offer up their favourite songs in this combined U2.com / Radio Free Virgin effort imaginatively entitled ZOO Radio.   5. Kind of ironic that all of these artists’ albums were recorded and mixed on Macs, yet Virgin doesn’t offer Mac support. Get with it, Branson!

  7. I find it amusing that No Doubt put 3 of its own songs on the list. Way to go, guys. Not even three classic singles- 3 relatively unknown tracks from their newest album. I guess a little self-promotion never hurt anyone. That said, they did pick some good U2 tracks. And I love that Edge picked Springsteen.

  9. thats a beautiful set of tracks they all picked. The ones i’ve heard anyway, some of Gavin Fridays i’ve never heard of though. Do you think maybe Larry wasn’t totally into the idea and just sort of picked the last 5 albums he listened to?! I agree about Adam having a great list and Edge picking Springsteen is great. That’d make one hell of a compilation tape. Love it.

  15. I think it was explained somewhere just recently… I think on this site when the original idea of ZooRadio was posted… so I think that if you look in the October archives of the log you should be able to find some info on this Gavin Friday pick.

  25. They won’t be playing ‘Sad’ because there’s no official recording of it. There could be bootlegs, but the song’s from 1978.
