Audioslave choose U2 video director

Chris Cornell’s Audioslave have chosen Meiert Avis to direct the video for their new single, Like a Stone. Guitarist Tom Morello: “He did all of the videos off Joshua Tree and The Unforgettable Fire,” Morello said. “Those are really great videos that give portraits of the songs that are compelling and true and honest to both the band and to the music. So we gave him a call and shot a fabulous video with him.” More on Audioslave. (link via Daniel)

  3. I believe it was the fly… you can hear a similar octave doubling pattern in one of the songs on the ‘battle of los angeles cd’ and the last song contains a line paraphrased from NYD. I believe it was at popmart las vegas.

  5. I just have to say that the Audioslave album is truly something to listen too…definately one of the most solid albums of last year and I can’t wait to see the video!!!

  7. I noticed this about a week ago and I am SO excited!!! Mert is second only to Anton, and Audioslave is super bad-ass, best CD in years other than U2 and a very small handful of others, in my opinion!!! It’s about time a band sounds like they are really trying to play their hearts out, and this track is amazing, really everybody should give this CD a shot!!!
