January 18’s Hot Press magazine includes a tribute to Joe Strummer by Bono.
Strummer was due in Dublin this week to finish ‘48864’, the song Bono and him were co-writing for the Mandela SOS AIDS benefit.

Its too bad I was really looking forward to this collaboration. Hopefully they can still finish the song (which i’m sure they will). But it would’ve been nice to se them do it live together.

10 minutes…? It sounds more likely that Brian Eno has somehow had his hands in the mix.

Well, it must be a pretty good song for it to be worth listening to for ten minutes, lol. I hope it is. I am still kind of waiting for him to prove that he can really move me the way he did with One, SBS, WOWY, etc…
