Image of a poster available from gigposters.com, spotted by B@rt Mot. Reminds us of an image we made to go with this post in 2001. Which we would show you if we could, but it got lost down under.

It seems that you haven’t seen the photo that must’ve served as the inspiration. There’s this pic of Bono with what looks like a humidifier strapped to his face. Apparently, Bono tends to wear this humidifier thing for several hours on the day of a concert. This is what allows him to still hit the high notes in falsetto. I remember Edge being quoted as joking that he likes Bono like this since he can’t speak. It’s a bit sad, imo. People have such high expectations of Bono that he willingly puts himself through that garbage. Fans should just accept that he’s getting older and years of drinking/smoking is changing his voice. Falsetto or not, Bono’s voice still rocks the hell out of nearly everybody else out there. …………… Oh, yeah. Here’s that picture….. http://www.rollingstone.com/features/featuregen.asp?pid=1302

In addition to the condolences we send to the families and friends of the astronauts, sympathies also to the nations of India and Israel. One of the astronauts lost was Indian born and another was Israeli.

To clarify… the poster was posted before the Columbia disaster. The quote was posted after.
