Dublin-born illustrator Niall O’Loughlin recently arranged to have Bono review a caricature that the artist drew of the U2 singer. The drawing, which can be seen at O’Loughlin’s web site, impressed Bono enough that he is currently considering purchasing it.

O’Loughlin told The Mirror that he chose to draw caricatures of Bono and The Edge (also available at the site) for reasons unknown.

“I have been a huge fan of U2 for years, as are all Irish people I suppose, but I have been listening to their music for years. I never really thought about why I decided to draw Bono and The Edge, or indeed any of the my caricatures, they were just the first people to enter my head for some reason,” O’Loughlin said.

O’Loughlin conceded to giving Bono the drawing for free if Bono donates some money to charity. As if Bono doesn’t do enough charitable work…
