“WYCLEF JEAN will release “Preacher’s Son,” his fourth solo album, on J Records in October. For the album, his first since last year’s “Masquerade,” the former FUGEE enlisted U2 guitarist the EDGE and an all-star hip-hop roster including REDMAN, SCARFACE, MOBB DEEP’s PRODIGY, TRICK DADDY and producer TIMBALAND. The title carries a personal resonance; Wyclef’s father, the Rev. Gesner Jean, was killed in a garage-door accident in 2001.”

  15. Wyclef’s dad was trapped between his car and the garage door. It happened just days before he got together with Bono and others to record “What’s Goin On.” It was just a tragic freak accident.

  21. I’ve done some checking:
    in the 80’s we had (nearly) every year a new album. (there we were spoiled rotten)
    In the 90’s every 2 year.
    Since the year 2000 we waited 4 years for a new album (don’t count the best of as a new album)
    If they continue like this, we will wait, ………3 year before we hear something new. 🙁
