A cat with boobs?…ahem…Gavin Friday has a way of making things dark but nice.

Well, it’s Bono’s drawing, not Gav’s. But perhaps inspired by his use of the word ‘pussy’ in the story.

It’s an “Ali” cat, so I think we can guess who it’s modeled after. 🙂

I’ve heard this story hundreds of times with different narrators, it became a favourite among me and my friends when my dad bought me the album when I was about eight. We used to scream and cover our ears when it became too exciting. However, until I saw mr. Friday perform in Dublin, I never heard the word ‘pussy’ being used in it. Somehow, ‘cat’ was always used to describe the animal. Peculiar…:-)

You could say “Forever young” to describe the lads, but really, “Forever 12” describes it better.

is anyone else turned off by the new, soft and cuddly U2? i mean come on–children’s books, praise for george bush, and oprah winfrey?!
give me the good old days of zoo tv: political rants, loud guitars, sex, drugs, and mind-blowing mischief and thought provoking art.

True subversion is more quiet than that.
