Hop on over to @U2 for Matt McGee’s latest column which includes links to Brad Biringer’s account of his trips to see the Joshua Tree in the Mojave desert, and an mp3 of Tori Amos covering Running to Standstill at Red Rocks on August 7.

  1. V Nice version and a great quality recording of RTSS. Love the guy’s voice when she starts singing and he realises what it is.

  3. Ah, I like Tori too…while Bono’s rendition is always going to be the definitive one, she does a very nice job with it, well suited for her. 🙂 She better play this at Jones Beach in two weeks. (g)

  5. nice rendition

(OT)-Umaar.. yes I saw that other link too. Interesting, to say the least; thought provoking, perhaps; laughable, perhaps not.

  7. Umaar-It would appear that stardom would/should force one to choose words a bit more carefully as people are likely to use them later (either for or against you).
Unfortunately stardom I think severs the communication lines from the common sense part of the brain. I bet the B-man wakes up & reads things only to think “Did I really say that?”

  9. with regards to the corrupt christian music thing. I have had an idea. The romans didn’t feed christians to the lions to supress the spread of a potentially destabilising religion. It was probably because they had opinions like this. Bring back the lions!
