HMV Japan reports the U2 Live at Slane Castle DVD will be released on November 12 in Japan.
According to HMV Japan, the DVD will include a 30-minute documentary about U2’s day at Slane and commentary (presumably, by the band) on the concert portion of the DVD. (via Hirorin)

yeah, i’d have to agree, i really can’t see larry sitting down for a full commentary session, he’s definitely too cool for that. now the rest of the boys, sure, what else are they gonna do? but larry, nah.

lol aaron thats the funniest thing i’ve read in a while, i think it would be cool to hear a commentary, especially bono talking about this show since his father had just passed, i remember the aug. 21st earl court show where bono told everyone for the first time that his father passed on, it was such a weird chill taht went through the place, i still get goosebumps thinking of it, the concert was a 12, to rival the “can you take it up to 11?” and i cant wait to see slane, ok now i’m just blabbing lol

-keeps saying “I look cooo behind ma kit”
-“…this song is boring…”
-“…chicks dig me…”
-hearing him sighing of frustration of how he can’t wait to leave the recording session of the commentary
-“ma coonnga, ma very ownnn connga”
-saying “F.O.A.D.” again for an encore
-or doesn’t say anything at all

Actually there was a great Bono / Larry interview done with Much Music back in 1997 where he was actually quite the chatty lad. He’s also the guy who mixed the sound for the Slane show – so he might have more to talk about than just pounding the skins.
