Burst.com inc are suing Microsoft over alleged misappropriation of its patented video streaming technology.

Burst claims that Microsoft interfered with its attempt to demonstrate its software. Burst.com made headlines when they announced they were webcasting a U2 PopMart concert in 1997.

Microsoft allegedly released a new version of its Windows Media Player just before the concert so that consumers who used Windows Media Player 7.0 couldn’t view the U2’s show.
